BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF 2016 FEATURES HIGH CALIBER ANCILLARY PROGRAM

The products presented by some 1,400 exhibitors at BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF 2016, Leading International Trade Fair Cosmetics, Nail, Foot, Wellness, Spa, will be complemented by an extensive ancillary program. Over 130 events and themed panel discussions at the expert meeting points will deal with the varied aspects of professional cosmetic services, offering trade visitors many continuous education options. Participation in the events is included in the BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF ticket. The trade fair will take place from March 4 – 6, 2016 at the fairgrounds in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Trend Forum with Expert Talks from Science and Practice

At the Trend Forum in Hall 10 renowned speakers headed by bio-chemist and skin physiologist Prof. Dr. Michael Schmidt will share insights from science and practice. In 1-hour technical lectures, the experts will report on the latest developments from various fields of cosmetics. Dr. Birgitt Kassen will talk about holistic dermatology, Prof. Dr. Michael Schmidt will explain connective tissue while make-up artist Diana Galante will demonstrate tricks to make skin glow. Other topics will include “Motivation – the Key to Motivating Yourself and Others”, “Resilience – Factors against Overload and Burnout”, “Insider Tip Deceleration – Measurable, Positive Impact on Skin and Bottom Line” and “Psychosomatics – the Soul Speaks, Body Follows”. These lectures do not require prior registration or additional costs.

Eva Padberg Guest Star at the BEAUTY Talk

German super model Eva Padberg will be the guest star at the BEAUTY Talk on March 6 in Hall 10, sharing her beauty secrets and projects.

Live Production including a Look behind the Scenes

In the Live Production section, BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF will present an interesting look behind the scenes of cosmetic products manufacturing. This year the manufacturing processes for eye shadow, ampoules and skin moisture creams will be demonstrated in cooperation with the relevant producers in Hall 10. KRYOLAN will present a product innovation with its “Eyes’ Ink” eye shadow, JEAN D’ARCEL will show how active agent concentrates are filled into ampoules/vials and at Dr. Spiller visitors can learn how main ingredients like pineapple, mango and papaya are turned into a moisturizing cream.

Nail Expertise for Practitioners

The Nail segment in Hall 12 will provide a complete overview of new products, care concepts and application techniques. At the Meeting Point Nail program, top experts will present current techniques and new colors, trends and styles. Frank Schäberle will deal with express reinforcement of natural nails while the renaissance of old-school nail design will be the topic of Ralf Bartsch and David Fowler will demonstrate acrylic-based refill and backfill techniques. Other subjects covered will include Color Chrome Design, luxury manicures and effective solutions for damaged nails with Repair & Protect.

Foot Area with Special Show on Hand Hygiene and Podiatry Training Center

Podiatry practices and cosmetic foot care including care products, technical equipment, practice furnishing and hygiene consumables will be on display at the Foot segment in Hall 9. With the expert program at the Meeting Point Foot, the Central Association of German Podiatrists and Pedicurists (ZDF) will offer practitioner-focused continuous education sessions.

This year’s Special Show “Skin Matters” will address the multi-faceted issue of hand hygiene (risks, protection, cleaning and care).

After its great success last year, BEAUTY 2016 will again feature a Podiatry Training Center activity area. Ten technical colleges will provide comprehensive information on the career prospects for podiatrists as well as career options, professional specializations and development opportunities. At the Meeting Point Nail medical/cosmetic foot care practices will be the focus.

Wellness Treatments for Wellbeing and Nature in Spas

The expert program at the Wellness segment in Hall 9 will showcase the latest developments in the wellness and spa industry such as wellness treatments, body treatments, spa etiquette and quality management. Themes will include Tui Na (healing massage from Traditional Chinese Medicine), BEWEI vitality concepts, nature sounds at the spa, Ayur Yoga massage as well as the Gantke® Lomi massage. The “Nature & Spa“ special area will demonstrate how furnishing and decoration can be used to bring nature into the wellness areas of hotels and spas.

SPA BUSINESS LOUNGE: Expert Knowledge and Personal Consulting

The SPA BUSINESS LOUNGE will be the exclusive consulting and communication platform for trade visitors from the hospitality industry, investment funds, spa operators and managers. Presentations, panel discussions, technical lectures and one-on-one consulting sessions will deal with such key success factors such as profitability, communication, sales and networking.

A special highlight will be the Spa Manager of the Year award ceremony on March 6. With this award, Messe Düsseldorf and the German Wellness Association honor special personalities and achievements. The ten finalists will also participate in the panel discussion “Learn from the Best – Spa Managers in Discussion” on the same day.

For the fourth time, the German Wellness Association will present the Wellness & Spa Innovation Awards on March 6. In four categories, the association will honor innovations and forward-looking ideas in the wellness and spa sector. New spa treatments will be demonstrated live at the Treatment Center and the nominees will be presented at the Innovation Gallery in Hall 9.

Admission to BEAUTY 2016 is restricted to trade visitors and online registration is required (www.beauty-international.com). A 1-day ticket ordered online costs Euro 30, a 2-day ticket is Euro 45 and a 3-day ticket Euro 60 (tickets purchased onsite are Euro 5 more expensive) and includes visit of BEAUTY, participation in the professional program, copy of the trade fair journal, coat check and free public transportation within Düsseldorf.
