With some 55,000 trade visitors from 77 countries and 1,500 exhibitors and brands, the recent staging of BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF in Germany confirmed its status as a leading trade fair for the cosmetics, nail, foot, wellness and spa sector. In addition to the innovations and trends presented, BEAUTY offered trade visitors several Meeting Points with diverse and practice-oriented further training programs only offered in this variety in Düsseldorf.

“As an innovation platform BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF sees it as its mission to pick up on topical themes and to trigger developments. Visitor feedback for our new BEAUTY Web S@lon, where free workshops on the topics of the Internet, social media and online marketing were offered, was very encouraging. The Trend Forum with its Medical SkinCare lectures was in great demand. Our structural changes have paid off,” remarked Michael Degen, Executive Director of Messe Düsseldorf.

The significance of BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF as a leading trade fair was underlined by exhibitors from all segments. “It was an excellent decision to set up the Spa & Wellness meeting point for the first time. Without exception all the lectures in the specialist program were well attended. Real progress is also the spatial rearrangement of the exclusive SPA BUSINESS area. The new overall concept was a great success,” said Lutz Hertel, Chairman of the German Wellness Association.

Dr. Christian Rimpler, First Chairman of the Association Cosmetic Professional e.V., added: “Some of our members reported slightly lower visitor numbers than in previous years. On the other hand, visitors’ specialist expertise has increased markedly – the quality of the discussions was top class. In addition to full orders books, there was a general atmosphere of new departures.”

“This trade fair is extremely important for maintaining contacts with our members and many customers. We are particularly delighted that this year’s BEAUTY has become significantly younger from an audience point of view. Many young people are becoming interested in our profession and were able to find an ideal point of contact at the podiatry training center. Many cosmeticians want to change to the podiatry sector and here in Düsseldorf we were able to advise them.. The special show “Hygiene at the Workplace” was also very popular,” commented Manuela Denz, First Chair of the German Podiatry Association (ZFD).

The visitors gave the high-quality and stylish setting as well as the comprehensive range of services at BEAUTY 2018 high ratings. The majority expect positive developments in the future and were willing to invest.

Voted 2018 Spa Manager of the Year was Maren Brandt, Corporate Spa Manager at Schloss Spa and Fleesensee SpaWorld (Germany).

The next BEAUTY will be held from March 29 – 31, 2019 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, parallel to the TOP HAIR and make-up Artist Design Show trade fairs. In terms of the internationality of our customers we particularly noticed the high proportion of Asian visitors.
