BOOT DÜSSELDORF 2015 EXHIBITORS BOOK SPACE EARLY AND REQUEST LARGER BOOTH SPACE

Exhibitor registrations from the international yachting and water sports industry have been strong for the upcoming boot 2015 Düsseldorf, 46th International Boat Show Düsseldorf. From January 17 - 25, 2015, over 1,650 exhibitors from more than 60 countries will provide a broad overview of the global market for boats and yachts as well as for maritime equipment and services in the 17 exhibition halls of the Düsseldorf fairgrounds in Germany.

Show budgets focused on Düsseldorf
“We had a great amount of wind in our sails when we started our trade fair preparations. We received a lot of bookings and, above all, we received them early, since exhibitors want to secure good locations and some are even expanding their space,” stated Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of boot Düsseldorf. “The boat show has established itself well as the leading indoor trade fair of the entire yachting and boating industry. The sector is increasingly focusing its budgets on boot Düsseldorf as a guarantee for good business in Europe – the region with the greatest purchasing power. The boat show attracts around 50,000 visitors from countries other than Germany, opening doors to high-caliber international customers.”

Europe’s largest boat market in Düsseldorf’s exhibition halls
Nine of the 17 exhibition halls will be occupied by boats and yachts - with 440 boat builders, dealers and importers showcasing a unique spectrum of about 1,700 boats and yachts, ranging from canoes and dinghies to luxury yachts and vintage vessels in all sizes and quality categories.

An international line-up
Exhibitors from over 60 countries will ensure a wide spectrum of international brands in all product lines. Around 800 exhibitors will be from outside Germany, covering nearly half of the exhibition space. The largest international exhibitor contingents will be from the Netherlands, Italy, France and the UK. In addition to individual company stands from the various countries, there will also be national country group exhibits from important boat building nations such as France, the Netherlands and Poland. For the first time, Estonia and Brittany will participate with country pavilions.

All Dutch steel yachts now in Hall 17
Parts of the hall layout have been optimized. Sailing boats and sailing yachts will now be located in Halls 15 and 16 (instead of hall 17). The Sailing Center, its Regatta Boat Show and stage program will remain in Hall 17. The central theme in Hall 17 will now be Dutch steel yacht construction. “This hall will accommodate the biggest Dutch indoor boat show. Motor yachts made of steel are a specialty in the Netherlands. The repositioning will put a greater focus on this segment while also creating a connection with the two motorboat halls 4 and 5 and their visitors,” explained Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel. The new layout was very well received by the Dutch exhibitors and leading companies in this sector have already confirmed their participation, including De Boarnstream, Elling, Sturier, Aquanaut, Linssen and Jetten.

Multi-hulls still heading for growth The sailing boat show will present a first-class line-up at boot 2015. Around 150 international exhibitors will showcase their premières and developments in Halls 15 and 16. The multi-hull segment in Hall 15 is continuing to develop extremely well. Catamaran enthusiasts can look forward to a growing number of large boats. Catana, CNB Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot, Nautitech and Slyder will show their 2015 models in sizes from 49 feet upwards.

All sizes and classes
boot 2015 Düsseldorf will have a wide range of motorboats and motor yachts, covering nearly everything available on the market - from inflatables with outboard engines and open sports boats to day cruisers, cabin boats and luxury yachts. More than 250 boat builders, dealers and importers will occupy six exhibition halls. Hall 4 will be the venue for leading motor yacht series manufacturers such as Bavaria, Bénéteau, Cranchi, Jeanneau and Nimbus. For the first time, Bénéteau and Jeanneau will also have stands in Hall 9 where they will showcase models allowing motorization through outboard engines. In the same hall, the US Brunswick Group will present its sport boat brands Sea Ray, Bayliner and Quicksilver.

Luxury segment on the rise
With around 60 large and luxurious yachts, boats and tenders in the high-end range, the luxury segment is clearly on the rise again. The product spectrum has grown, especially for yachts between 65 and 82 feet in length. Bénéteau and its luxury line Monte Carlo Yachts will be in Hall 6 instead of Hall 4, following Jeanneau who moved into this hall two years ago. Azimut, Sunseeker and Princess will show a wide range of their extra-large yachts. A positive level of bookings has been recorded for the Super Yacht Show in Hall 7a where 70 exhibitors will demonstrate their capabilities of realizing exclusive yacht building projects.

New in Hall 10: Blue Tech – energy-efficient engines
The equipment market at boot Düsseldorf continues to benefit from a general trend among boat and yacht owners to invest in the value of their boats. A total of 350 international exhibitors in Halls 10, 11 and 12 will show on-board electronics, engines and accessories. Functional clothing and marine equipment will also be located in these halls. A new separate exhibition area has been created in Hall 10, providing an overview of energy-efficient engines. This “Blue Tech Innovation Center” will demonstrate ways to equip motorboats with electric and hybrid engines or even with solar energy. The Refit Center in Hall 11 will provide boot visitors with information on maintaining and enhancing the value of a boat.

Scuba-diving hall booked
In Hall 3, scuba diving destinations such as Egypt, the Philippines, Indonesia and Turkey will inform about their countries. 2015 will be the first year that Fuerteventura, Greece and Jordan will take part. With some 350 exhibitors, the entire Hall 3 is completely booked. Many renowned equipment manufacturers are expanding their presentations, including Aqua Lung, mares, Oceanic and BtS Europa. All major scuba diving instructing associations will be represented at boot 2015 - PADI, SSI, the International Aquanautic Club (IAC) and the Association of German Scuba Divers (VDST).

In Hall 4, hobby photographers can enjoy the Water Pixel World with its innovations for film and photography. 25 exhibitors and brands will exhibit their imaging products and action cams, including Minox, Gopro and Rollei. This hall will also feature a stage show with talks and workshops.

Trend water sports with new exhibitors
Halls 1 and 2 will house 70 exhibitors, showcasing innovations in trend sports such as wakeboarding, stand-up paddling, kiting and surfing. New exhibitors from the equipment sector will include Osprey Action Sports, Makani and CrosLake.

Première at Cruise Pavilion: cruises to discover the world
Following the trend of discovering the world through cruises, boot 2015 will feature the new Cruise Pavilion in Hall 14. TUI (Europe’s leading travel group) will offer information and bookings.

In addition, 300 international charter companies, tour operators and tourist organizations will inform about international vacation and travel destinations for sailing and powerboat enthusiasts in Halls 13 and 14. Hall 13 will also be home to the World of Paddling where 13 exhibitors will be on hand, showing canoes and equipment for every purpose and every destination.

New information offers
At booth 2015, visitors can look forward to 20 theme and adventure worlds, including the Beach World, the Sailing Centre and five action centers with indoor pools, scuba-diving pools and artificial rivers. Nearly all water sports can be tried out: sailing, diving, stand-up paddle surfing, wakeboarding, canoeing and fishing.

With the new name “Motorboat Center”, the former “Mobile Water Sports” show in Hall 10 will give newcomers to this sports tips as well as details about the 15 HP (11 kW) boats that can now be driven license-free. The show will feature a variety of boat types that can be equipped with 15 HP (11 kW) engines.
