BOOT DÜSSELDORF 2017: SUPERYACHT HALL FULLY BOOKED

boot Düsseldorf, 48th International Boat Show, will again be an important platform for superyachts and Hall 6 is completely booked. “Hall 6 will be a dream-come true for lovers of large yachts. All the market leaders will be on board and we will present the boats to our visitors in an impressive way”, stated boot Director Petros Michelidakis. The event will take place from January 21 – 29, 2017 to the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany

Shipyards such as Azimut/Ferretti and Sanlorenzo from Italy, the British companies Princess and Sunseeker as well as the French suppliers Jeanneau/Préstige and Bénéteau/Monte Carlo are the top brands on the world market and will present their flagship yachts at boot 2017. Project Manager Arne von Heimendahl explains: “It is a tremendous success for us as boot organizers that Sanlorenzo will come to Düsseldorf with a yacht again for the first time in years.” The long-established Italian company Sanlorenzo will exhibit an SL 78 (almost 79 feet long) at boot 2017.

A total of 60 superyachts will be showcased in Hall 6. Getting these yachts to the fairgrounds is not an easy task but due to the fairgrounds being located next to the Rhine River (one of Europe’s most important waterways), the super yachts travel by river to Düsseldorf. Some of them arrive in a group of up to five yachts on a pontoon loaded in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Once moored in Düsseldorf these yachts are transported right from the pontoon into the hall with the “Big Willy” crane.

Exclusive yacht-building projects, scale models of luxury yachts, upstream suppliers, designers and architects will prove at the Super Yacht Show in Halle 7a that there is no limit when it comes to yacht building. A new element is the “boot INTERIOR” segment focused on the interior design and furnishings for mega yachts. There is a rising demand for spa areas with state-of-the-art technology, quieter cabins and elaborate materials for exclusive designs. The joint organizers of this interior design show are Messe Düsseldorf and BOOTE EXCLUSIV, the super yacht magazine published by Delius Klasing Verlag in Germany. “Our goal is to continue the development of boot in the B2B field at the international level. We are taking a step in the right direction with the development of boot Interior,” said Petros Michelidakis. Markus Kral, Editor-in-Chief of BOOTE EXKLUSIV, added: “Equipment and furnishing suppliers need a showcase of this kind. There is a wide range of different companies and specialists, from door handle manufacturers to surface finishing experts. I am enthusiastic about the concept of an interior event at boot and delighted to have our brand involved in it.”

In the “blue motion lounge” in Hall 6, designer stores will offer high-end fashion while restaurants provide exquisite dining in a distinguished setting.

The German Superyacht Conference with a line-up of high-caliber speakers, also organized by Delius Klasing publishing house, will complement the ranges on display in Halls 6 and 7a. The Vice President of Design at Daimler AG, Gorden Wagener, will present the keynote on the theme “Transfer of Design”. He is considered one of the most important automotive designers in the world and has just transformed the Mercedes brand for the water with the development of the Arrow 460-Granturismo. The Superyacht Conference will be held on January 25, 2017 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Düsseldorf. For registration visit http://superyacht-conference.com/en/
