50TH ANNIVERSARY OF BOOT TRADE FAIR

boot, The World’s Largest Boat and Watersports Show, will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. After the exhibitor registration deadline on June 30, demand for exhibit space is greater than in the 49 previous years and the Messe Düsseldorf team is working on meeting the space requests. The trade fair will be held from January 19 - 27, 2019 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Even though boot is 50 years old, it remains as young as ever. With tend sports like surfing on the 5 foot high and 29.5 feet wide wave or diving in the new Dive Center, the water sports trade show keeps up with the times. boot Director Petros Michelidakis, commented: “We work year round to make sure that boot is increasingly successful and is even more attractive and even better each year. The exhibitors at boot develop trends, present impressive innovations and interesting premieres and new high-tech products. I am therefore expecting boot to have a very strong economic impact in the coming year as well.”

Trend themes will include “fractional ownership” which was introduced at boot 2018 and will be expanded in 2019. The sailing segment at boot 2019 will include a new feature: the organizers of the Clipper Race will present their exciting regatta, which keeps adventurous sailors busy on the world’s oceans for 11 months. It is open to both professional and amateur sailors. (www.clipperroundtheworld.com)
