Trade visitors can look forward to exciting footwear and accessories collections, trend information, the Festival for Shoes and Accessories and fresh impulses at GDS – Global Destination for Shoes & Accessories – at the summer edition from July 29 - 31, 2015 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

GDS Lifestyle Worlds
The STUDIO area will feature new high-end collections such as Iceberg from Italy, Mer du Sud from Spain and Intramontabile from Germany. APICCAPS will again present a selection of young, promising designers from Portugal as part of its “Portuguese Young Talents” program. After the successful debut in February 2015, the 20 international Design Trendsetters will be back in July with their new 2016 summer collections. In April, a pop-up shop opened at the Breuninger department store in Düsseldorf with the collections by Design Trendsetters Laurence Dacade, Alain Tondowski, the Duo Christina Martini, Nikolas Minoglou (Ancient Greek Sandals) and Charline de Luca.

The POP UP Area will have a new home in Hall 10 and the catwalk will also be located in Hall 10 in July. The scene area “RICHTIG WICHTIG” will also move to Hall 10 to celebrate its second edition, this time with the motto “London calling”.

In HIGHSTREET, the Concept Area in Hall 5 has been expanded. Among the first time exhibitors will be Italy’s bag label Aurora Prestige and men’s shoe manufacturer I Maschi Gold. Polish designers who were selected in cooperation with the fashion trade fair HUSH Warsaw will also showcase their designs in this area. The HIGHSTREET brand line-up will also feature Germany’s mega firm Brax and Dutch men’s shoe producer Van Lier.

New companies in the kids’ area in Hall 4 will include Lurchi, Lamborghini, Balducci from Italy, Red Rag Develab from the Netherlands and KEA from Brazil.

Trends @ GDS
The Highlight Route through the three GDS Lifestyle Worlds doubles as a stage for special product stagings and events. The catwalk in Hall 10 will host fashion shows and serve as a stage for innovations from individual brands. The STUDIO Show will feature current trends from the Premium segment.

The Trend Spots in Hall 5 have been grouped into a separate area, providing important information on seasonal trends for Spring/Summer 2016. The Forum Touch will be an information center for textures and surfaces, giving attendees the opportunity to both see and touch seasonal as well as cross-seasonal innovations and materials, including leather and textiles.

PR Highlights
During the Press Walk on July 29, GDS exhibitors can present themselves to the trade press. At this guided walk, journalists will be introduced to highlights by selected exhibitors presented and staged in various formats. For fashion editors there will be a special “sample map” to order press samples for their fashion shots.

Exciting Activities for Fashion Bloggers
In cooperation with the online fashion magazine styleranking, GDS will dedicate one day to fashion bloggers. The program on July 31 will include the FashionBloggerCafé Shoedition networking event for over 150 expected bloggers and the Blogger-Runway-Show with fashion bloggers styling the models.

Private Label Show tag it! and a new fashion sourcing trade show
Held parallel with GDS again will be tag it! – The Private Label Show. New this time will be the concurrent staging of the Düsseldorf Fashion Sourcing (DFS) trade show organized by Chinatex Advertising & Exhibition (CTEC). While tag it! focuses on private label in the footwear and accessories segment, Düsseldorf Fashion Sourcing concentrates on fashion sourcing. About 100 selected producers and suppliers of clothing and textiles will participate. By presenting these additional ranges, the GDS organizers are responding to the growing demands from trade visitors and also addressing fashion buyers from wholesale operations and major buying organizations.

OUT OF THE BOX Festival
On July 31, the OUT OF THE BOX Festival for Shoes & Accessories will be celebrated in the Düsseldorf city center, including special activities in selected stores.
