The online exhibitor registration for glasstec 2017, International Trade Fair for Glass Production, Processing and Products, is now open at The booth allocation process will start on December 1, 2017. The event will be held from October 23 – 26, 2018 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A special feature at glasstec 2018 will again be the North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA) and co-sponsored by the National Glass Association (NGA). The pavilion turnkey rental package includes a fully furnished booth, access to an attractive lounge area and the on-site service of a project manager, hostesses and interpreters. As the world’s leading trade fair in the glass industry, glasstec covers the full spectrum and entire value chain of all facets of glass as a material. Companies from around the globe will showcase their innovations, solutions, technologies, products and trends in the following exhibit categories: glass production and production technology, glass processing and finishing, glass products and applications, tools, replacement/spare parts, auxiliary equipment/fitting, measurement/testing/control technology and software as well as contracting, consulting, engineering and services. Every two years, glasstec is the international meeting point for more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 50 countries and about 40,000 trade visitors from around the globe. A total of 97% of the attendees are trade visitors, 86% have decision making authority or are involved in the decision-making process and 75% are from the top management.

glasstec’s wide-ranging ancillary program will include special shows and conferences, complementing the products on display by the exhibitors. A highlight will again be the special show glass technology live, this time under the new management of Prof. Dipl. Ing. Ulrich Knaack from the Technical University Darmstadt (Germany). As a performance showcase for future glass applications, the main focus of this show will be on interactive facades and display glass, energy and performance, structural glass (solid glass/thin glass) and new technologies. “Meet the Expert” sessions round off the future oriented agenda.

Other special segments at glasstec 2018 will be “crafts live”, providing hands-on experience for the glass processing trader as well as the “glass art” exhibition of renowned galleries.

The new and expanded “think tank” concept of the glasstec conference will consist of the “function meets glass” symposium one day before the show opens (October 22) as well as the engineered transparency Conference and the Architecture Congress held during glasstec 2018.
