VISITORS WITH DISABILITIES

As the organizer of REHACARE, the world's leading trade fair for home healthcare, equipment, and services for the disabled, Messe Düsseldorf is particularly sensitive to the requirements of disabled visitors and exhibitors, ensuring that all public areas of the Düsseldorf fairgrounds are conveniently accessible by wheelchair.

  • All of the halls are on ground level, and have level floors and wide doors (with the exception of hall 7, whose multiple floors are able to be reached by elevator service from the North Main Entrance).

  • All floors of the Congress Center locations can also be reached by elevator, and in some cases by ramp.

  • Wheelchair accessible restrooms are also located in every hall, with the exception of halls 1, 3, 15, and 17. Such restrooms are also conveniently located in the lobby areas of the Congress Center locations, as well as in the Administration Towers.

  • Parking spaces for disabled persons are available in the P2 Parking Area of the fairgrounds. A free shuttle service from this lot is available during show dates, circulating between the parking lot and each of the main entrances to the fairgrounds. Visitors and exhibitors who would like to take advantage of this service should simply inform the parking attendant upon arrival.

  • Please be sure to alert your Messe Düsseldorf North America representative if you require any special provisions.

  • Shuttle service is available at 90% or our trade shows in Düsseldorf.  Transportation between the halls can be ordered with a hostess at the information counter in each hall on an "as need" basis.

WHEELCHAIR RENTAL AT THE FAIRGROUNDS

  • Manual wheelchairs are available at the Red Cross First Aid office at the North Entrance, Hall 7, of the fairgrounds.  This service is free of charge, and wheelchairs are only available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  To reserve a wheelchair in advance, call (0211) 4560-230, or send an e-mail to messeambulanz@drk-duesseldorf.de.  Please be sure to ask for a re-confirmation of your request.  The Red Cross will take your ID as a deposit for the wheelchair, which will be returned to you upon the return of the wheelchair.
