STABLE DEMAND FOR INTERPLASTICA 2017 DESPITE DIFFICULT RUSSIAN ECONOMIC SITUATION
Despite the current difficult economic and political situation in Russia, the activities in the plastics and rubber industries are far from coming to a standstill. There is continued substantial demand for investment, especially in the production of consumer goods, technical equipment and packaging. Manufacturing processes and product quality at Russian sites are being optimized in order to substitute imports and Western technologies are highly valued. This is reflected by the stable demand for interplastica 2017 exhibit space by Russian and international companies and the organizers Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary OOO Messe Düsseldorf Moscow expect more than 600 exhibitors to take part. Strong participation can be expected from the host country as well as from Germany, Italy and Austria. Turkey and Iran will also be well represented. interplastica 2017, 20th International Trade Fair Plastics and Rubber, will be held at the Expocentre in Moscow from January 24 – 27, 2017.
The leading meeting point for the sector in the region will again provide a representative overview of the machinery and equipment ranges for the plastics and rubber industries, raw materials and auxiliary materials as well as plastic and rubber products.
The companies’ exhibits will be complemented by special shows and events. One of the highlights will be the debut of the special show “3D fab+print Russia”, focusing on the fast-growing segments of additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Russian and international experts will discuss developments, opportunities and challenges of this young technology while exhibitors will present their innovative solutions.
In addition, the established “Meeting Point Raw Materials” at the Polymer Plaza in hall 1 will offer lectures and roundtable discussions about new trends in the production and reclamation of raw materials and their applications.
Held concurrently again with interplastica will be upakovka – processing and packaging. Russia’s leading trade fair for this sector will focus on packaging machinery, equipment, and materials, packaging media and auxiliaries, confectionery machinery and equipment as well as technologies and logistics. Staging these two trade fairs together offers both exhibitors and visitors valuable synergies.
At the last concurrent staging of interplastica and upakovka in January 2016, a total of 20,900 visitors from Russia and neighboring countries attended to see the latest innovations for their. The exhibitors reported very interested attendees at their booths, many of which were ready to place orders.
