MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 SOLD OUT

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017, 8th International Exhibition on Hospital, Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, Medical & Rehabilitation Equipment & Supplies, is sold out and will be the largest edition ever. Featuring 700 exhibitors from 45 countries including 18 country pavilions and groups, the show floor has increased by 20% compared to the 2015 staging. With these results, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 confirms its position as Thailand’s most prominent trade fair for the medical sector. The event will take place from September 6 - 8, 2017 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.

For the first time, country group exhibits from Canada, the European Union, India, the Netherlands and Russia will participate in MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND, reflecting the growing international appeal of the exhibition. Bernhard Kelkes, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, stated: “The Netherlands Embassy will participate at MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 with a Holland Pavilion for the first time. The country offers state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, premium medical services, excellent medical expertise and a wide range of world-class hospitals at affordable costs.”

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 will also feature the largest Japanese contingent to date with over 70 companies, including group participations from Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka and Fukushima. Shunji Iizuka, Director General of Commerce, Industry and Labor Department of the Fukushima Prefectural Government, noted: “In June this year, Fukushima Prefecture signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, Thailand, with the aim of providing mutual support to the medical industry in both regions. For the first time, eight companies from Fukushima will represent this region in a joint booth to showcase their products and cutting-edge technologies.”

The MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 exhibits will be complemented by conferences and forums with industry leaders presenting the latest trends and future demands of the industry. The 3rd Advanced Rehab Technology Conference (ARTeC), taking place on September 6 and 7, will focus on technological solutions for the ageing population. Speakers from leading institutions such as MIT and Fujita Health University will discuss robotic rehabilitation, sarcopenia in the elderly and neurorehabilitation. The conferences and forums dedicated to digital imaging in radiology, the Patient Safety Conference and the TMI CIO Forum will cover a wide array of topics including risk management in radiology IT, current network technology, hospital IT outsourcing and emerging information technologies in healthcare. “Technology has been changing the landscape of the medical industry rapidly, and it is only appropriate that the industry adapts accordingly to these shifts. What the TMI CIO Forum aims to achieve at MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 is to provide CIOs with the necessary knowledge on how to manage the challenges of technology while at the same time integrating it to ensure greater efficiency and productivity,” commented Dr. Choosna Makarasara, President of the Thai Medical Informatics Association.

The rising middle class of Southeast Asia is tech-savvy and aware of the need for quality healthcare. Adapting with the changing consumer demands, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND will feature two special highlights on connected healthcare and rehabilitative care. They will showcase the latest innovations and solutions in remote healthcare, tele-health, wireless healthcare and living aids. Almex System Technology Asia will demonstrate their newly improved hospital kiosks for self-registration and payment as well as a queue management system while Lundal (Thailand) will exhibit the industry’s first hydraulic lift-type backrest bed. Rehabilitation product provider Alexandave Industries will present the Asian debut of the ALDA Balance Gear and medical mobility aids manufacturer Wu’s Tech will introduce its best-selling life chairs, mobility scooters and power wheelchairs to the Asian market.
