METALLURGY INDIA 2014 OFFERS PLATFORM FOR LUCRATIVE METALLURGY MARKET

The next staging of Metallurgy India, 5th International Exhibition & Conference on Metallurgical Technology, Processes, Material Handling and Services, will take place from October 28 – 30, 2014 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Center in Mumbai. Online exhibitor registration is now open at www.metallurgy-india.com. The event will be jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf India, with the support of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), the Institute of Steel Development & Growth (INSDAG) and the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA). Messe Düsseldorf is renowned as the organizer of the leading international trade fair for the metallurgy industry – METEC, held every four years in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Exhibit categories at Metallurgy India 2014 will include machinery and equipment for processing prime and raw materials, iron and steel making, non-ferrous metal production, casting and pouring of molten steel and non-ferrous metals, shaping of steel and non-ferrous metals as well as environmental protection, disposal and gas purification and electrical engineering. A new feature in 2014 will be the Metals Plaza. The exhibits will be complemented by the Steel Conclave 2014 Conference (October 28 and 29) with the title “Raw Materials, Technology, Energy Management & Logistics in the Steel Industry”.

Third paragraphMetallurgy India 2014 will take place at an opportune time and offer international companies an ideal platform to access the lucrative Indian market. Initiatives by the Indian Government including the New Land Acquisition Act, policies for procurement of raw materials, infrastructure support, trade policies, research and development as well as the promotion of steel use and its consumption will drive the growth of the steel industry. Major sectors such as infrastructure, power, manufacturing, automotive, environment, defense, transportation, energy, oil and gas and telecommunications will all benefit from this growth. It is anticipated that by 2025/2026, the Indian steel industry will produce over 275 million tons of crude steel, catering exclusively to domestic demand.

Metallurgy India 2014 will be held concurrently with three three thematically related trade shows: Tube India International, WIRE & CABLE INDIA and Welding & Cutting India. Tube India International and WIRE & CABLE INDIA 2014 will also be organized by Messe Düsseldorf and its Indian subsidiary while Welding& Cutting India is an event of Messe Essen.

When Metallurgy India and Tube India International were last held together in 2012, 172 exhibitors from 26 countries showcased their products on 30,000 square feet of net exhibit space, making it the largest in the trade shows’ history. A total of 10,500 visitors from all over India and neighboring countries attended the events (also includes attendees at WIRE & CABLE INDIA and Welding & Cutting India).
