Once you have submitted your exhibit space application to Messe Düsseldorf North America in Chicago and your company has been admitted into the show, you will receive two separate invoices directly from Messe Düsseldorf in Germany. One will be for the purchase of your raw exhibit space, and (if applicable) one will be for your booth design and construction.
The easiest method of remitting payment is by wire transfer. Simply provide your bank with the Euro (EUR) amount due, as well as the bank routing information (BLZ),
account number (Konto), and swift code specified on the bottom of the invoice. Your bank will calculate the amount into US dollars based on the day's exchange rate.
Please note that German VAT (Value-Added-Tax) of 19% will be applied to all of your incurred expenses. Under certain circumstances you may be eligible to have the VAT that you paid refunded, so please keep all copies of your invoices and original receipts.
Should your company cancel its planned participation before the start of the show, you will be responsible for a withdrawal fee and turnover tax. Please refer to your copy of the Conditions of Participation for your specific show for details.
NOTE: The above procedures also apply to companies that participate in an exhibition organized by Messe Düsseldorf International in a country such as Russia, India, Ukraine,
etc.
If your company participates in a North American Pavilion
organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America in Chicago, you will receive all
invoicing, including the 19% German Value Added Tax (VAT), in US dollars.
The amount due is payable by check or by credit card (see "Credit Card
Policy" section below).

A deposit will be required at the time you submit your exhibit space application. The deposit amount will also serve as a cancellation fee. (Please refer to the instructions on your application form.) You will then be invoiced by MDNA in US dollars for the balance of the pavilion charges after you have been assigned an exhibit space.
If applicable, you will receive an invoice after the show for any additional items you order for your exhibit space that are not included in the package price.
After you have submitted your exhibit space application to Messe Düsseldorf North America in Chicago, you will receive an invoice for your participation costs directly from Messe Düsseldorf Asia (MDA) in Singapore. Please refer to the "Conditions of Participation" for payment terms. Payment due dates will be indicated on the invoice.

These penalties reflect the cost of processing your application and the marketing cost of reselling the space near the start date of the exhibition.
As an exhibitor from abroad, you may be eligible under certain circumstances to have the VAT (in Germany 19%) that you paid for your exhibit space and services refunded. Therefore it is important that you keep all copies of your invoices and original receipts.
Examples of expenses where the VAT could be refunded include (but aren't necessarily limited to) stand rental and construction, furniture rental, telephone/fax connection, lighting, etc.
