2009 MESSE DÜSSELDORF TO PROMOTE GLASS TRADE FAIRS AT GLASSBUILD AMERICA 2009Messe Düsseldorf will participate in GlassBuild America 2009 in order to promote its worldwide program of international trade fairs for the glass industry, including glasstec 2010, International Trade Fair for Glass Production – Processing - Products and solarpeq 2010, International Trade Fair For Solar Production Equipment (to be held concurrently from September 28 – October 1, 2010 in Düsseldorf, Germany) as well as All in Glass 2009, China International Exhibition for Glass Technology (to take place from November 25 - 27, 2009 in Guangzhou, China)and GLASSPEX INDIA 2009, International Exhibition for Glass Production - Processing - Products (scheduled for December 2 – 4, 2009 in New Delhi, India). At GlassBuild America booth 2343, exhibitor and visitor information for the trade fairs will be available as well as information on hotel and travel arrangements. glasstec is the leading international trade fair for its industry with exhibit categories including glass manufacturing and production technology, glass processing and finishing, tools and replacement parts as well as process control technology, glass applications in the construction industry, solar energy, electronic display glass and laser technologies. Special presentations, symposia and the Architects’ Congress will complement the exhibits. A unique feature at glasstec 2010 will be the North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America and co-sponsored by the National Glass Association (NGA). Messe Düsseldorf decided to add another glass trade fair to its program for a segment that has recently experienced a particularly dynamic development: solar production technology. The first staging of solarpeq will take place parallel with glasstec and is geared towards companies offering process engineering/production equipment for thin film and crystalline photovoltaics. glasstec and solarpeq complement each other in terms of content and will be held at the same time at the same venue. Co-organized by the China Foreign Trade Centre and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd., All in Glass 2009 is expected to attract about 95 exhibitors on 86,000 square feet of exhibit space. In early 2009, the Chinese government announced the economic recovery programs of the ten pillar industries, including the automobile, petrochemical and electronic information industry. Their output accounts for one-third of China’s GDP. Due to the wide application possibilities of glass in these sectors, middle to high end glass such as automotive glass, insulation glass and energy saving glass will especially benefit from these recovery programs. The debut of GLASSPEX INDIA will provide the Indian glass market with a comprehensive overview of the latest products, developments and trends in the areas of glass manufacture, finishing and applications. India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies. The growth in its population and ever increasing standard of living are the engine driving the subcontinent’s construction and automobile sector, while the demand for consumer goods is also rising.
