INTERPLASTICA 2009 TO REFLECT GROWING RUSSIAN ECONOMY

The next staging of INTERPLASTICA, 12th International Trade Fair Plastics and Rubber, is scheduled for January 27 – 30, 2009 at the ZAO EXPOCENTR in Moscow, Russia. The show will be organized by Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary 000 Messe Düsseldorf Moscow, with the support of the European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics and Rubber Industries (EUROMAP).

The organizers expect about 580 exhibitors from 29 countries and 24,000 visitors to take part in the event. At the show’s last staging in 2008, 143,700 square feet of net exhibit space was occupied and 70% of the exhibitors were from countries other than Russia.

Exhibit categories at INTERPLASTICA 2009 will include machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industries, machinery and equipment for pre-processing, recycling, processing, post-processing, finishing, decorating, printing and marking as well as welding machinery, tools, measuring and testing equipment, components, raw and auxiliary materials, plastic and rubber products, logistics and storage.

The Russian economy continues to grow and market conditions in Eastern Europe remain favorable. The construction industry is driving the economy, while other consumer-oriented industries such as the automotive, consumer goods and packaging sectors are recording dynamic developments. This results in increased demand for plastics and rubber, especially for raw materials and premium quality processing and manufacturing machinery.
