Messe Düsseldorf North America RUSSIAN PLASTICS TRADE FAIR RETURNS IN 2010From January 26 – 29, 2010, INTERPLASTICA, 13th International Trade Fair Plastics and Rubber, will take place at the ZAO EXPOCENTR in Moscow, Russia. The show will be organized by Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary 000 Messe Düsseldorf Moscow, with the support of the European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics and Rubber Industries (EUROMAP). UPAKOVKA/UPAK ITALIA 2010, 18th International Trade Fair for Packaging Machinery, Packaging Production and Packaging Material, will be held concurrently with INTERPLASTICA, creating synergies for both visitors and exhibitors. Despite the current difficult economic condition, the development potential in the Russian plastics industry continues to be substantial. Russia is developing into one of the largest consumer markets in the world and the long-term prospects for the plastics and rubber industries are good. INTERPLASTICA 2010 will provide an international platform to gain access to the lucrative Russian market. Exhibit categories at INTERPLASTICA 2010 will include machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industries, machinery and equipment for processing, recycling, finishing, decorating, printing and marking as well as welding machinery, tools, measuring and testing equipment, components, raw and auxiliary materials, plastic and rubber products, logistics and storage. A total of 561 exhibitors from 30 countries displayed their products on 135,000 square feet of exhibit space when INTERPLASTICA was last held in January 2009. The event attracted 20,500 visitors from the Russian Federation and neighboring countries (the visitor number includes attendees at the concurrently held UPAKOVKA/UPAK ITALIA trade fair), 86% of which had decision making authority.
