From November 19 - 22, 2008, the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany will host MEDICA, 40th International Trade Fair with Congress - World Forum for Medicine. As the leading international trade fair for the medical industry, MEDICA 2008 will feature about 4,300 exhibitors, two major congresses, an ancillary program and numerous special events.

Exhibit categories at MEDICA 2008 will include the latest products for in-patient and out-patient care: electromedical and laboratory equipment, medical technology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies as well as physiotherapy and orthopedic technology, communication and information technology, facility management, clothing, medical furniture and equipment and building technology.

The exhibits will be complemented by the MEDICA Physiotherapy Forum, MEDICA MEDIA (telemedicine forum), MEDICA MEET-IT (user forum for IT solutions), MEDICA VISION (presentations of Research Institutes), the MEDICA Congress and the German Hospital Conference. Most of the lectures and seminars will be held in German only.

A special feature at MEDICA 2008 will be the two U.S. Pavilions, organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America. In one of the U.S. Pavilions, laboratory equipment, reagents, invitro/invivo diagnostics, devices, systems and pharmaceuticals will be presented while the other Pavilion will feature medical technology and electromedical equipment.

COMPAMED 2008, International Trade Fair for Components, Parts and Raw Materials for Medical Manufacturing, will be held on three days during MEDICA 2008 – from November 19 – 21. More than 400 exhibitors and 13,000 specialist visitors are expected to take part in COMPAMED 2008.
