August 2006 900 EXHIBITORS AT OIL AND GAS TRADE FAIR IN RUSSIAThe recent staging of NEFTEGAS, 11th International Trade Fair for Equipment for the Oil and Gas Industry, attracted 900 exhibitors from 35 countries and more than 20,000 trade visitors (visitor figures includes attendees at the concurrently held INLEGMASH trade fair). NEFTEGAS 2006 was organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with its Russian partner ZAO Expocentr in Moscow and had the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Exhibitors at NEFTEGAS 2006 showcased the latest equipment for producing and processing crude oil and natural gas, technologies for geological exploration, transportation solutions as well as security systems and fire-safety technology on over 215,000 square feet of exhibit space. A comprehensive ancillary program consisting of seminars and conferences supported the exhibits. Renowned companies from the Russian and international energy sectors took part in NEFTEGAS 2006, including Russia’s Gazprom, Lukoil and Rosneft, the China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation, the R&B Industrial Supply Company from the U.S., Gaz de France, Jogmec Japan Oil and Gas and Metals National Corporation as well as Germany’s WINGAS GmbH and VNG-Verbundnetz Gas AG. The next staging of NEFTEGAS (again with INLEGMASH) will take place in June 2008 in Moscow.
