NEWCAST TO BE HELD EVERY TWO YEARS
Since its debut in 2003, NEWCAST, International Trade Fair for Precision
Castings and NEWPART Innovation Parc,, has developed impressively. As a
platform for engineers, production managers and buyers to gather information on
the latest technical developments in components, its concept is unique
worldwide and the event has already become a fixture after just two events. According
to a visitor survey at this year’s NEWCAST, the vast majority favors a shorter cycle in sync with
the fast pace of innovations occurring in this sector. This coincides with general economic trends
in the industry and ties in with assessments from numerous experts in the industry.
To respond to these altered market requirements, the organizer Messe
Düsseldorf has decided to hold NEWCAST more frequently and to extend its range
of products. In agreement with the sponsor associations, NEWCAST will be held
every two years from now on. Every four years, the event will be held
concurrently with the three technology trade fairs GIFA, METEC and
THERMPROCESS. In addition, the new NEWCAST will not be limited to casting
products and will feature forged and sintered parts at its NEWPART Innovation
Parc.
"Innovations are required and implemented at relatively “short notice” in this sector. All
parties involved are therefore subject to an enormous pressure to innovate.
Buyers must constantly keep abreast of the latest developments in order to
stand their ground against global competition,” stated Joachim Schäfer, Managing
Director of Messe Düsseldorf.
The next NEWCAST staging will take place from June 23 – 25, 2009, accompanied by the 4th
NEWCAST Forum. Furthermore, the Metals Plaza has now been
incorporated into the Innovation Parc to offer all steel and metal producers,
NF-metal mills, traders and logistics providers a relevant platform.
