April 2007 REHACARE INTERNATIONAL 2007 TO PRESENT FUTURISTIC HOME DESIGNSBarrier-free homes for every generation will be the focus of one of the new theme parks at REHACARE International, 18th International Trade Fair and Congress Rehabilitation, Care, Prevention and Integration. A fully furnished bungalow in Hall 6 will demonstrate how to plan a home which meets the needs of a specific age group. Top priorities are comfort, retaining independence and creating an individual look. The theme park will be complemented by an architecture competition, expert discussions and a specialist conference. REHACARE International will take place from October 3 – 6, 2007 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. “As the dedicated forum for people with special needs and requiring care, REHACARE International offers a number of significant solutions for the needs and demands of a society that will increasingly consist of individuals in the third and fourth phase of their life. This target group is open to new ideas, concepts and innovative products that facilitate an independent and active lifestyle for all ages,” commented Wilhelm Niedergöker, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf. “Home design is currently a key issue for these individuals. The shifting demographics are also responsible for changes in the market for travel, leisure and mobility, which will become more prominent features at REHACARE International in the future.” REHACARE International 2007 will be a platform for some 800 exhibitors from 30 nations and 50,000 visitors from over 60 countries. The exhibitors will present the latest products and services in the following categories: daily living; household and nutrition; personal care and hygiene; walking and mobility; construction and housing; safety and monitoring systems; workplace; physical training, physiotherapy and occupational therapy; orthopedics: nursing and medical care; sports, recreation and travel.
