GROWING IMPORTANCE OF TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL

The recent staging of TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf 2010 in Germany again recorded further growth, demonstrating the increasing importance of this event. "We obviously caused a stir in the hairstyling industry with the concept of this event," stated Helmut Winkler, Project Director of TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL 2010. "With 380 exhibitors and brands and 28,100 trade visitors, we have reached a new high. Due to the continuous development and investments in quality and ambience, we have reached our goal in just five years and are now the leading trade fair for hairstylists not only in Germany, but also in all of Europe. The hairstyling industry has found a new platform here in Düsseldorf." Rolf Wilms, Managing Director of TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL GmbH and publisher of the TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL magazine was also very pleased with the success: "This year's TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL exceeded our expectations. The advanced concept with its clear separation between the order and direct sales segments was extremely well received by both exhibitors and visitors. The visitor numbers were considerably higher than last year. The spacious layout in the halls ensured that there was always a pleasant atmosphere despite the high visitor numbers. We are delighted that the hairstylists have accepted this event as the premium event in Europe. For us this represents a challenge to further develop the concept in the future." The TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL 2010 exhibitors praised the quality of the visitors. With 56% master hairstylists and 47% salon owners, TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL traditionally attracts a high number of industry leaders. The TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL 2010 exhibits were complemented by 13 extravagant shows by international star stylists such as the Israeli top stylist Shuki Zikri, who impressed an audience of more than 3,000 with his unusually fast, precise cutting moves as well as Tim Hartley and the "British Hairdresser of the Year", Akin Konizi. Other featured stylists included Bertram K, Keller The School, JeanLuc Paris, Mike Karg and Jo Blackwell as well as the teams from Aveda, Goldwell, KMS California, Hairdreams, icono and Paul Gehring. In addition, a total of 135 practical demonstrations informed trade visitors about new cutting, color and styling trends, presented by Wolfgang Zimmer, Ronald Reinholz, H3, Kertu and Mod’s Hair for L’Oréal Professionel, the Wella Artistic Team, Sassoon Academy, Thorsten Hussfeldt/Capelli Group for Glynt, Beni Durrer, Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, the Tondeo Cut’n Style Team as well as Reza Shari for Revlon, American Crew, Schwarzkopf Professional and Marco Wojach for Haaro. With its fifteen top speakers, the congress program at TOP HAIR INTERNATIONAL 2010 was geared towards salon owners and managers with topics including business strategies and entrepreneurial education.
