PROWEIN 2014 FULLY BOOKED
Six months before the start of ProWein 2014, International Trade Fair Wines and Spirits, the exhibit space is fully booked. The majority of the exhibitors at this year’s staging will return in 2014 and most of them plan to enlarge their stands. In addition, numerous new firms have opted to participate in ProWein for the first time. One example is the new country group exhibit from Canada. Overall, ProWein 2014 will feature suppliers from some 50 countries, including all international market leaders. High-quality specialty spirits will round off the comprehensive range. The 20th anniversary of ProWein will take place from March 23 – 25, 2014 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The ancillary program at ProWein 2014 will again be first-class. After its successful premiere at ProWein 2013, the ProWein Forum with its central seminar area will again be a highlight. Trade visitors can look forward to a wide-ranging combination of theme-related tastings in addition to lectures on markets and trends.
Hall Change for at ProWein 2015
While preparations for ProWein 2014 are underway, the organizer Messe Düsseldorf is also already working on ProWein 2015 and will move the exhibition from the current Halls 1 – 7.1 to Halls 9 – 17. “As shown by the highly successful ProWein 2013 and current registration levels for the 2014 event, our projections for the growing space requirements at ProWein were too conservative. The space offered by Halls 9 - 17 exceeds that of Halls 1 - 7.1 which makes us more flexible and better able to meet the needs, especially of our long-term exhibitors,” explained Michael Degen, Division Director at Messe Düsseldorf and ProWein Director. Since occupancy at the exhibition center is planned several years in advance, a hall change was not possible for 2014.
The relocation into new halls also ensures scheduling reliability: Halls 9 - 17 have been reserved for ProWein for the next few years on dates which avoid a scheduling in the week before Easter. Hans Werner Reinhard, Deputy Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf, commented: “For the wine and spirits sector ProWein is the leading international trade fair and plays a key role in Messe Düsseldorf’s portfolio. Our declared objective is to maintain the best possible conditions long term.”
Another advantage for exhibitors: moving into the new halls in 2015 allows companies to increase their maximum permitted stand height from four to six meters. “This move means we can meet a need expressed by numerous exhibitors for many years. In order to ensure reliable planning for stand construction, we are informing about the 2015 hall change already at this early stage,” remarked Michael Degen. “We will work on the hall occupancy details over the coming months and will obviously take exhibitor needs and feedback into consideration as far as this is possible.”
