PREMIERE AT PROWEIN 2014: WINE FROM JAPAN
For the first time, ProWein, International Trade Fair Wines and Spirits, will present Koshu wine from Japan. Since ProWein 2011, Japan has participated with a joint stand focusing on traditional sake and the plum liqueur Umeshu. But next year, white wine from the Koshu grape will join the selection on offer at the “Taste of Japan” stand in Hall 7a. This grape variety has a long tradition in Japan and is generally known as Japan’s “national grape”, used in the country’s wine production since the 19th century. Also new will be the diverse tasting and seminar program of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) at this group exhibit.
Japan is only one of about 50 nations presenting their products at ProWein, to be held from March 23 – 25, 2014 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Some 4,800 exhibitors will offer a unique variety of international wines and spirits, making ProWein the leading trade fair in this sector. Already at this early stage, ProWein 2014 is fully booked and all international market leaders are represented.
The list of ProWein 2014 exhibitors is now online at www.prowein.com the in the “Exhibitors & Products” section.
