RUSSIAN REHABILITATION TRADE FAIR TO BE HELD IN APRIL 2014

The fourth staging of Integration.Life.Society., International Trade and Event Fair with Congress, will take place from April 23 – 25, 2014 at the Krasnaja Presnja Expocenter in Moscow, Russia. International exhibitors will present their latest products and developments for people with disabilities and those requiring care. The trade fair focuses on innovative assistive technology, mobility in the workplace and at home, concepts, therapies and leisure activities, nutrition and hygiene as well as safety and monitoring systems, physiotherapy and orthopedic devices. Exhibitor applications are available online at www.integration-russia.com. The deadline for exhibitor registrations is February 21, 2014.

On the first day of Integration.Life.Society. 2014, the 6th International Moscow Governmental Conference “Equal Rights – Equal Opportunities” will be held. Current possibilities for integration and social participation for people with disabilities as well as aspects of barrier-free housing and living will be discussed.

Integration.Life.Society. is organized by Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary OOO Messe Düsseldorf Moscow. Messe Düsseldorf is renowned as the organizer of REHACARE, the leading international trade fair in the rehabilitation and care sector, held annually in Düsseldorf, Germany. Integration.Life.Society. benefits from the organizer’s expertise and is specifically geared towards the needs of the Russian market.

Over 13 million people in the Russian Federation have disabilities and with the growing awareness of their living conditions, the demand for solutions is increasing. State organizations are addressing this issue intensively and have already started major investment activities. But there are still many measures required to give this part of the population the possibility to partake in education and the work force, to be integrated into social life and to live a largely independent life. The city of Moscow itself plans to become barrier-free by 2020.

At last year’s staging of Integration.Life.Society., over 120 exhibitors from eight countries presented their products and concepts to more than 3,600 trade visitors as well as people with disabilities and their family members who gathered targeted information and actively participated in the trade fair’s cultural and sports program.
