For people with disabilities, those requiring care and the elderly, about 800 exhibitors from 33 countries will present aids for independent living at REHACARE 2014, International Trade Fair and Congress “Self-determined Living”. The event will be held from September 24 - 27, 2014 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

In addition to the individual exhibitors, REHACARE 2014 will also feature county group exhibits from nations such as Canada, China, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan and the UK.

The REHACRE 2014 exhibits are geared towards experts, those affected and their relatives. In six halls products and services for nearly every aspect of life and every target group will be on offer: mobility and daily living aids, assistive technology for out-patient care, communication technology, barrier-free living as well as ideas for leisure, travel and sports. A Congress, numerous theme parks and information events will offer visitors information on the latest trends in rehabilitation, care and aging.

In the mobility segment, over 200 renowned international manufacturers will present wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walking aids. Leading car manufacturers such as AUDI, Daimler and Volkswagen will showcase their latest models, adapted to the needs of the disabled in hall 6. There will also be manufacturers and service providers specializing in customized rebuilds and and in-vehicle installations for the specific personal needs of motorists with an impairment.

Hall 5 will be the venue for solutions for visual, speech and hearing impairments while information and products on barrier-free construction and housing can be found in Hall 3. Hall 4 will focus on assistive devices and information giving children with impairments greater mobility, communication and independence.

Information and advice are of major importance at REHACARE 2014. One third of all exhibitors are trade associations, organizations and self-help groups. They play a leading role in the organization of the theme parks and special exhibits on education and employment, tourism and culture as well as sports for the disabled.

REHACARE reaches broad visitor target groups with a high level of decision-making authority, including experts and buyers from medical supply retail stores, rehab centers, healthcare and elderly care institutions, physician’s practices and laboratories as well as from trade and industry and trade associations.
