WIRE AND TUBE SOUTHEAST ASIA 2017 STAGING AT OPPORTUNE TIME
ONLINE EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION OPEN

wire Southeast Asia and Tube Southeast Asia will return to the Bangkok Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand from September 19 – 21, 2017. This opportune and strategic staging of the two specialist trade fairs comes amidst encouraging prospects expected for the wire, cable, tube and pipe industries, especially due to the thriving infrastructure and manufacturing sectors in Southeast Asia. Online exhibitor registration is open now at www.wire-southeastasia.com and www.tube-southeastasia.com.

According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the energy and transport sectors will account for 62.6% of the total ASEAN infrastructure investment needs by 2020. This is confirmed by Goldman Sachs’ projection about infrastructure spending in power and transport in four ASEAN countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines) which will amount to US$524 billion by 2020.

A major ASEAN infrastructure initiative is the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) with investment requirement of US$5.9 billion, as well as the Singapore-Kuala Lumpur high speed rail which will span 217 miles and is expected to start operations in 2026. On the manufacturing front, should ASEAN fully implement the ASEAN Economic Community’s integration strategy and captures a larger share of global manufacturing, the region could gain US$280–US$625 billion in annual GDP by 2030 as stated in a recent report by the McKinsey Global Institute.

Fastener Pavilion at wire Southeast Asia
This infrastructure growth, alongside the expansion of the automotive, new energy, high-speed rail, urban transport, aerospace, petrochemical, infrastructure construction and other application industries, has brought new opportunities for the fastener industry. Reflecting such global trends, a special zone on fastener technology will make its debut at wire Southeast Asia 2017. The Fastener Pavilion will be a dedicated showcase of the complete upstream and downstream industry chain on fastener technology. The exhibit profile will range from standard and nonstandard fasteners as well as fasteners application in various industries to manufacturing skills and supporting facilities of fasteners.

Industry-specific exhibit profile and seminar line-up
The dynamic line-up at wire and Tube Southeast Asia 2017 will feature an all-encompassing range of innovative machinery for wire, cable, tube and pipe manufacturing, processing and finishing, fastener technology, new processes in measuring, control and test engineering and specialist areas as well as new and upgraded tools and auxiliary materials. A series of conferences and seminars will complement the exhibits.

The first Tube & Pipe Industry Development Seminar organized by the International Tube Association will take place during Tube Southeast Asia. The seminar calls for to submit an abstract that focuses on technical/economical classifications, new technologies, modernization, R&D or recent case studies that would increase the competitiveness of the business against the current industry climate. Each submitted proposal will be considered by the association’s technical committee.
